Web 2.0

Training has been informative. I think I may be able to use a number of things in relation to the library truck. With being able to put video of the truck opening and maps of exactly where I park the truck, my current customers and my future customers can have a better understanding of the what I do.

There is an added benefit of being able to put a lot of instructional information on the blog. This will make it easier for any casual staff to be able to confidently park, setup, man and shut down the mobile at any of the stops, even if they haven't ever been at that site before.

maps

Trying to get google maps to mash in with the blog. The idea being to have it shown as a map where the truck goes, allowing non users and town users to get an idea to the kilometres and area that i cover.

google docs

I fould Google docs, to be significantly better than ZOHO. This may be due to slow internet speeds etc.

podcasting

Absoloutley fabulous!!! As a truckie, I think podcasting would be great. This would allow me to download interesting and valuable information and listen ( if audio) during the driving leg inbetween stops.

answer board

Just answered a question on Yahoo7 answer board. Very simple do both ask and have questions answered, however I think it is open to very wrong and misleading answers.

week 6

Just tried to complete week six regarding video. With the internet speed on the computer i'm using I ended up spending a lot of time drinking coffee waiting. The use of video tutorials would be very beneficial if it is available.

RSS

Used bloglines. Had a little dificulty understanding the process. Could use RSS for keeping up to date on new novels and their reviews etc. With the raft of changes that goes on with regard to road rules and trucks, it could help keeping on top of that as well.

week five

Web 2 is proving a little more frustrating than I thought it would be. It is probably just not being on it all the time. With a little mucking around I'm sure it will be all A O K. Looking at the wiki's etc. could be a good way to keep in contact with the other members of RRL.
